Great Food - Excellent Food My wife and I have eaten there four times, and have had great experiences on each occasion. The patio views are spectacular, especially at sunset. Wear your sunglasses as you will be looking into the sunset for the optimum views. My favorite is the stuffed, bacon wrapped shrimp dish. Service can be a little slow, but don't go to be in a hurry. Enjoy the experience over a couple of margaritas or XX's. Located on top of a hill, you can't get a better view of Rocky point and the Sea.

YUM! LOVE the view - the non-hassling service - good portions - great atmosphere! I've eaten several times and I make sure to return everytime I'm back in Rocky Point!

Caution The view is beautiful! However, they have musicians that come around and play. We did not want to have them play for us. They did anyways. I then gave them a $3 tip (that was all the small bills I had). The musician demanded more. I explained I had not requested them to play and besides I did not have any other small bills. He again demanded more. This made us very uncomfortable. We then asked for our bill and the waitress just came and stated the amount (no actual bill). When I added everything up, she then lowered the verbal bill (still no actual bill). I do not ever mind paying for good food and service but I do not enjoy being taken advantage of. If this restaurant wants to continue having the American come to their location, they best not try to take advantage of paying customers.

Best sunset view, but food is average and overpriced Casa del Capitan has the best sunset view in Rocky Point, but you pay for it. The food is just average, and overpriced.

Great views, slow service but good food I think this seems to be the norm. The service was a little bit too slow for my liking but the views were great. While the food was not something to write home about, it was still pretty good food. I would recommend it to anyone who is not in a hurry. If you want a romantic setting, definitely go to Casa Del Capitan.

Great fun! We had dinner here and thought the atmosphere was great. Service and food were both very good and reasonably priced. Would definitely go here again.

disgusting food, tasteless margaritas, good service Two servers were excellent. Ordered quesadilla (cold), seafood platter (mariscos) was warm and ok, but too much squid! Also, does anyone really eat those raw oysters...in Mexico!?
Fish tacos way too salty, margaritas were bland (mango and lime), pina colada was extremely sweet and not much alcohol...cuting back expenses??
Veiw was top notch.
Again, annoying flower guy (same guy as other restaurants) -- sorry, we don't buy cut flowers and this does not appeal to our romantic interests at all. Try polaroids or singing :)

Beautiful view of sunset The location was fabulous. We ate outside on the deck overlooking the ocean and it was very romantic to watch the sunset. Our waitress was rude at first as she said she didn't want us to sit outside on the lower deck because it was too windy and said the others on the deck were just ordering drinks. This was not true because they had dinners. After insisting she finally gave in but acted a little mad at us. We joked around with her and slowly her attitude changed and then she was great. The food was just average but the beautiful view made up for that. Contrary to other reviews we loved the seranaders and was perfect timing as they sang to us while the sun was setting. It was very romantic!

Great view! Go for apps & drinks. You must make this a stop but just go for appetizers & drinks. Dinner is good but overpriced for the quality. Still, the atmosphere & the staff are wonderful!

Okay food, Okay service Our experience at Casa Del Capitan was just OKAY. The food was not extraordinary, but okay. The views were wonderful, and the atmosphere was good. The service was disappointing though. they forgot one of our salads and we had to remind them. And it took forever after we were finished eating to get our check. Then when we gave the waitress our card, she toted it around with her to two more tables and took their orders before running our card. So overall, just okay. the only really great thing was the view.
